Social and Emotional Learning - Yoga

Our SEL-yoga classes give people of all ages the opportunity to slow down their day, and to reflect and grow through mindful movement. Classes focus on one or two CASEL core competencies, incorporating SEL*F (SEL facilitation) components from the Breathe for Change methodology. We begin by settling in with collective breathing and a self check-in followed by mindful movement exercises like ‘sun dance’ and ‘become a butterfly’. Students then engage in community connection activities where they practice focus, creative expression, and relaxation. Finally, students connect their experience together through intentional completion.
