Elli Komito
Elli has been training aerial for over ten years. Having first been exposed to silks on a group trip, they subsequently fell in love with lyra, and went on to perform with Skydance Flyers, Boise Circus Guild, and several local circus and burlesque groups in Reno. Lyra is still Elli's "first love," but they also enjoy silks, hammock, trapeze, cube and rope. Elli began teaching in 2015, and discovered an unexpected joy in watching their students grow in strength and confidence. As someone who struggled in the early stages of their aerial training, Elli brings a unique understanding of the challenges many beginners face, and delights in finding new and creative ways to work through those challenges. Circus has taught Elli a unique kind of self-love, which centers around the utility and endless possibility of each individual's body; sharing and teaching that to others is why Elli keeps showing up.
